Associate Director, Business Intelligence (Asia)

About the role

Anthesis Business Intelligence is expanding its Asia practice and seeks an experienced Associate Director to lead investigative research and client engagements across Singapore and Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities

• Train and mentor new team members, ensuring high‑quality report output.
• Manage complex open‑source and human‑intelligence investigations, including pre‑transactional due‑diligence checks.
• Produce concise, contextualised reports and deliver written and verbal briefings to senior management and clients.
• Prepare business proposals and support new‑business development.
• Develop and maintain Anthesis’s human source network in Asia.
• Assist with client account management and coordinate with enabling functions for smooth operations.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of full‑time post‑graduate experience in corporate intelligence, investigative journalism, or related fields.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced research environment with strong qualitative analytical skills.
• Deep knowledge of Asian business and political landscapes and fluency in English plus at least one regional language.
• Experience managing teams, mentoring staff, and growing client accounts.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.

Required skills

• Proficiency with open‑source research tools such as LexisNexis and Factiva.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of financial, commercial and legal concepts.
