Business Development Manager – Life Insurance

About the role

The Business Development Manager will lead account management of distribution partners for Zurich's Life Insurance business in Hong Kong and drive growth by expanding the broker and IFA network. The role combines relationship building, sales generation and coordination of marketing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Be responsible for the account management of distribution partners of Life Business in Hong Kong.
• Grow the Life Business by widening the local distribution through prospecting new IFAs and brokers.
• Manage assigned accounts and generate sales growth to achieve sales targets.
• Build and maintain good relationships with IFAs and brokers.
• Work closely with Distribution Support and Underwriting teams on new business and complex cases.
• Support logistics of bespoke campaigns and coordinate broker events.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and training to IFAs and brokers to support business growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree with relevant sales and distribution experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Experience in the IFA channel or distribution management in insurance is preferred.
• Exposure to bancassurance or broker channels is an advantage.
• Proven track record of ambitious business growth and strong connections with distribution channels.
• Good understanding of financial and investment markets and knowledge of Life, ILAS, and premium‑financing products.
• Basic knowledge of underwriting principles.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
