Cantonese Audio Transcription Reviewer (Part-Time, Remote)

About the role

Kaya by Chemin, a community of data annotators building AI, is looking for Audio Transcription Reviewers for its AI language project. You will join the Quality Control (QC) team and review completed Cantonese-English transcriptions to make sure they are accurate, complete and follow project guidelines. The project runs about two months, from July to September 2026, with flexible working hours and an estimated workload of about 2 hours per batch.

Key responsibilities

• Review completed Cantonese-English audio transcriptions for accuracy and completeness
• Verify audio segmentation and speaker labels
• Identify and correct transcription, segmentation and formatting errors
• Check that healthcare terminology is transcribed accurately where applicable
• Follow project guidelines to keep quality consistent
• Escalate unclear or complex cases and communicate with the Project Manager
• Complete assigned batches within the project timeline

Required profile

• Fluent spoken Cantonese and able to read and write Traditional Chinese
• Familiar with the Hong Kong Cantonese accent
• Comfortable reviewing Cantonese-English conversations with code-switching and occasional English medical terminology
• Fluent English for project communication
• Attention to detail and ability to spot transcription and segmentation errors
• Ability to follow detailed project guidelines consistently
• Access to a laptop or desktop, headset and a stable internet connection

Required skills

• Reading and writing Traditional Chinese
• Using a Cantonese Jyutping keyboard
• Transcription review and quality control (preferred)
