Chief Compliance Officer, Hong Kong, Macau & Taiwan

About the role

Veolia Hong Kong Holding Limited, part of the Veolia Group, is looking for a Chief Compliance Officer to lead its prevention-focused compliance program across Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The role supports the Asia CCO on global compliance strategy, cross-border projects and a shared compliance portal, and involves auditing, investigations, training and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Run the day-to-day operations of the compliance program, monitor regulatory changes and implement corrective action plans
• Administer corporate compliance protocols, including annual Conflict of Interest declarations and the review of Gifts, Entertainment, Sponsorships and Hospitality registers
• Design and run compliance spot-checks and internal audits, and investigate whistleblowing reports with reports to senior management
• Deliver compliance training (onboarding, regulatory updates, anti-corruption) and promote a culture of ethics and integrity
• Report regularly to senior management and the Asia CCO on compliance progress

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Risk Management or a related discipline
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, LL.B., LL.M., CCEP, CFE or ACAMS are highly advantageous
• Full professional fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is a must
• Minimum 8 years of experience in legal, compliance, audit or investigations within a multinational company, accounting firm or law firm
• Proven track record of corporate investigations, whistleblowing handling and risk management systems
• Prior experience managing compliance professionals is preferred

• Frequent travel between Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan is required
