Chopper – VIP Dining & Events / Canteen Café & Grab‑Go

About the role

Join the culinary team at a prestigious VIP dining and events venue in Hong Kong. As a Chopper, you will support the preparation and cooking of a wide range of dishes for the Canteen Café and Grab‑&‑Go outlets, ensuring high standards of quality, safety and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling and measuring.
• Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Prepare cold dishes, assemble plates and serve appropriate portions.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation, tools, knives and kitchen equipment.
• Monitor appliance and food temperatures, test doneness and ensure food safety.
• Set up and break down work stations, and assist with stock rotation and storage.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies, reporting any incidents or maintenance needs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a food‑preparation or kitchen role.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 25 lb for an entire shift.

Required skills

• Food preparation techniques (portioning, chopping, washing).
• Operation of kitchen equipment: ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and temperature control.
