Clinical Professor of Practice – Emergency Medicine (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

The Department of Emergency Medicine invites applications for several Clinical Professor of Practice, Clinical Associate Professor of Practice and Clinical Assistant Professor of Practice positions. These are fixed‑term appointments of two to three years, with the possibility of renewal, and may be offered on a fractional basis for suitable candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in emergency medicine and related health sciences.
• Develop and enhance curriculum and assessment materials for the Faculty.
• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, communicating in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
• Engage in research activities within the field of emergency medicine, contributing to scholarly output.

Required profile

• Medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong.
• Specialty Fellowship from a Hong Kong Academy of Medicine college or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong commitment to teaching and ability to contribute to curriculum development.
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua for patient interaction and teaching.
