Commis – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Commis to join the kitchen team at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong. As an entry‑level culinary professional, you will support the smooth operation of our award‑winning dining outlets and uphold the high standards of cleanliness and service that define our brand.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef and Chef de Partie with daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare and organise mise‑en‑place for service periods.
• Maintain neatness and hygiene of refrigerators, storage and service areas.
• Support the distribution of workload across kitchen sections and collaborate with other departments.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the department head.

Required profile

• Relevant culinary academic background or prior kitchen experience.
• Willingness to learn with a positive mindset.
• Good spoken English and Chinese communication skills.
