Consultant - Strategy Consulting, Hong Kong

About the role

Oliver Wyman, a business of Marsh, is hiring consultants in Hong Kong. Consultants are core members of the consulting team, working side by side with clients on projects. The role suits motivated professionals with relevant prior experience who want strong career and growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the execution of individual project workstreams, including developing hypotheses, collecting data, building models and running analyses, and conducting primary and secondary research
• Synthesize findings into written presentations and review them with clients and other stakeholders
• Support the Partner group in project delivery through accurate, high-quality execution
• Report to Engagement Managers and Principals, seeking guidance on technical expertise and senior advice on project execution and client engagement

Required profile

• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm or similar organization
• Fluency in English is required; fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese is preferred
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program
• Willingness to travel and to work fluidly and respectfully with the team
• Hybrid work: colleagues are expected to be in the local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week

Required skills

• Familiarity with analytical tools such as Excel, SQL and Python
• Strong strategic problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Preferred: experience in banking, financial services, insurance, asset management, retail, consumer goods or telecommunications
