Cyber SOC Analyst / Consultant (Hong Kong)

About the role

Deloitte China is seeking a motivated Analyst/Consultant to join its Cyber Defence and Resilience team in Hong Kong. You will work in a 24x7 Cyber Intelligence Center, providing threat management, incident response and security monitoring for a range of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24 × 7 cybersecurity threat management and service‑desk operations in the Cyber Intelligence Center.
• Analyse heterogeneous log data and monitor security alerts from SIEM and other platforms to identify potential compromises.
• Liaise with clients on security incidents, deliver timely remedial actions and support T1/T2 incident response investigations, including forensic and malware analysis.
• Conduct research on the global cyber‑threat landscape using open‑source channels and vendor feeds.
• Participate in shift duty and standby support as required.

Required profile

• University degree in IT, Information Security, Computer Science, Risk Management, MIS or related fields; cyber‑security focus preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in SOC operations, threat hunting or cyber‑threat research.
• Familiarity with incident‑response methodologies and advanced investigative or regulatory analytics.
• Professional security certifications (e.g., CISA, CISM, CISSP, CEH, OSCP, OSCE) are a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills in English and Chinese.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools.
• Network security knowledge: firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, TCP/IP.
• Log analysis, threat hunting and cyber‑threat intelligence research.
• Forensic analysis and malware analysis techniques.
