Director, Debt Capital Markets

About the role

As a Director in Debt Capital Markets you will originate and execute bond and debt transactions for corporate and institutional clients across Greater China, while driving business development and supporting junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Originate, structure and execute bond and debt capital market transactions for corporate and institutional clients.
• Manage client relationships throughout the transaction lifecycle, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of capital market solutions.
• Prepare transaction materials, presentations, term sheets and other documentation to support deal origination and execution.
• Coordinate due‑diligence processes with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, legal counsel and investors.
• Support the execution of DCM transactions, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards and client expectations.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers and product partners to identify opportunities and deliver integrated client solutions.
• Work closely with DCM Desk colleagues to support business growth, pipeline management and market execution activities.
• Drive continuous improvement of transaction processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and governance standards.

Required profile

• Prior experience in the financial markets industry, preferably in debt capital markets.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese, and strong English communication skills.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
