Director of Development – APAC

About the role

Rosewood Hotel Group is seeking a Director of Development for the Asia‑Pacific region. Reporting to the Vice President, Development, APAC, you will lead the identification, negotiation and delivery of new hotel projects, ensuring they align with the brand’s strategic vision.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue development opportunities across APAC to expand the Rosewood portfolio.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, developers, investors and strategic partners.
• Evaluate sites, concepts and proposals, providing recommendations on brand fit and commercial viability.
• Prepare business proposals, pitches, LOIs, term sheets and RFP responses.
• Negotiate commercial terms of management agreements in line with company guidelines.
• Coordinate internal teams to progress deals from concept to handover and support pre‑opening phases.
• Represent Rosewood at industry events as a brand ambassador.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in hospitality development, real estate, finance or consulting.
• Strong commercial acumen and confidence in structuring complex agreements.
• Proven ability to work with senior owners and developers.
• Deep understanding of hospitality real‑estate markets and regional dynamics.
• Entrepreneurial, proactive and highly motivated.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
