Director, Security and Transport Office

About the role

The University seeks a senior leader to direct its Security and Transport Office, overseeing safety, security, traffic and transport services across the campus. Reporting to the Vice‑President (Administration), the Director will provide strategic vision and day‑to‑day management of a large uniformed security team and the university’s transport operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and overall management of security, safety, transport and traffic operations on all university properties.
• Lead the Security Office, supervising more than 100 uniformed officers to ensure 24/7 campus security and emergency response.
• Oversee the Transport Office, managing intra‑campus bus services and official car fleet.
• Administer service contracts and monitor vendor performance for security and transport services.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies, serving as Secretary to relevant committees and offering professional advice.
• Promote and support national security policies in accordance with Hong Kong law.

Required profile

• University degree.
• Minimum ten years of supervisory experience in police, security, or a comparable large‑scale safety role.
• Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning and people‑management capabilities.
• Strong judgment, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluency in both Chinese and English.
• Valid driving licence.
