Event Coordinator

About the role

As an Event Coordinator at Marriott International, you will be the primary point of contact for group coordinators and hosts, ensuring every banquet and event runs smoothly from planning to execution. You will work on‑site in our Aberdeen location, delivering the high standards of service our guests expect.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with group coordinators/hosts before functions, introduce yourself, and confirm all arrangements.
• Read and analyse banquet event orders to gather guest information, set‑up requirements, timelines, and special needs such as buffets or action stations.
• Coordinate and follow up on any special banquet arrangements to ensure compliance.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and provide courteous, professional assistance.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and adhere to all company safety, security, and confidentiality policies.
• Perform physical duties including lifting objects up to 25 lb, moving through confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related experience in event or hospitality services.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Hong Kong.
