Financial Analyst – North Asia (excluding Japan)

About the role

Schroders is seeking a Financial Analyst to support its North Asia (excluding Japan) businesses. The role will focus on budgeting, forecasting, expense analysis and data‑driven insights to help drive profitable growth across private assets.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting processes, especially for Private Assets, and develop financial models.
• Track actual performance versus budget/forecast, analyse variances and deliver timely insights to front‑office and business stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed business analysis for North Asia markets, covering revenue, expense, profitability, product and segment performance.
• Conduct expense analysis, cost‑trend reviews, accrual assessments and highlight cost risks or savings opportunities.
• Coordinate with Group FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and ad‑hoc analytical requests.
• Utilise data‑analytics and AI tools to improve the speed, quality and depth of financial analysis and reporting.
• Build dashboards, templates and repeatable analysis frameworks to support decision‑making.
• Partner with finance, front‑office, operations and other stakeholders on cross‑functional projects and finance transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling within an investment or asset‑management environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights.
• Proficiency in expense analysis, cost‑trend review and variance analysis.
• Ability to work closely with regional finance teams and Group FP&A.
• Familiarity with data‑analytics tools and willingness to leverage AI for process improvement.
