Fleet Manager

About the role

JD Logistics is seeking a highly organized and experienced Fleet Manager to lead the efficient operation and maintenance of its extensive vehicle fleet. You will be responsible for ensuring timely, cost‑effective delivery services across the company’s global logistics network.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for fleet acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.
• Manage the full lifecycle of fleet vehicles, including procurement, registration, insurance, scheduling, and tracking.
• Establish preventative maintenance schedules and repair programs to minimize downtime.
• Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and driver performance, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and service providers for purchases, parts, maintenance, and fuel.
• Oversee hiring, training, and performance management of fleet drivers and support staff.
• Utilize fleet management software and GPS tracking systems for real‑time monitoring.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fleet management or a related logistics role.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Effective negotiation and vendor management skills.
