Fractional Clinical Associate/Assistant Professor in Implant Dentistry

About the role

The Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Hong Kong seeks a non‑tenure‑track fractional Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Assistant Professor in Implant Dentistry. The role involves teaching, clinical service, research development and participation in knowledge‑exchange activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver clinical and didactic teaching in Implant Dentistry to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Supervise and mentor research projects, develop an independent research portfolio aligned with the Faculty’s strategic themes.
• Participate in curriculum development for Periodontology and Implant Dentistry programmes.
• Engage in clinical duties within the Faculty’s teaching hospital and contribute to administrative tasks.
• Collaborate in knowledge‑exchange activities and professional education programmes.

Required profile

• Dental Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with specialist qualification in Implant Dentistry, Prosthodontics or Periodontology.
• For Associate Professor: Ph.D. (or equivalent) and proven record of high‑quality international publications and research recognition.
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice and ability to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Valid registration with the Dental Council of Hong Kong (or eligibility for Limited Registration).
