Front Desk Agent – Hotel Reception

About the role

The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for guests at our hotel in Aberdeen, Hong Kong. You will ensure smooth check‑in and check‑out processes, handle guest inquiries, and support the overall guest experience in line with Marriott standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process all guest check‑ins, confirm reservations, assign rooms, and issue room keys.
• Handle all payment types, including cash, checks, debit, and credit cards.
• Manage check‑outs, resolve late or disputed charges, and run daily arrival/departure reports.
• Answer and record guest calls, messages, requests, and concerns.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to confirm room readiness.
• Communicate parking procedures and dispatch bell or valet staff as needed.
• Provide guests with directions and information about the property and local attractions.
• Complete cashier and closing reports, cash guests’ checks, and balance receipts according to accounting specifications.
• Follow safety, security, and company policies, maintaining a professional appearance and confidentiality.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
• Strong communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.
