Full Stack Software Engineer – Equity Research Tools

About the role

Millennium is seeking a senior Full‑Stack Software Engineer to join its Equities Research Tools team. You will build and maintain applications that support portfolio managers in idea generation, portfolio construction, and real‑time trading.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack applications and services for equities research and trading workflows.
• Create intuitive, high‑performance user interfaces using Angular or React.
• Implement scalable backend services with Python, Core Java and Spring.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, risk quants, and equities managers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Apply AI assistants and automation techniques to improve development and business processes.
• Design and optimise data solutions using advanced SQL and modern data technologies.

Required profile

• 7+ years of full‑stack development experience, preferably in financial services or real‑time electronic trading.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with investment professionals, quants, and technologists.
• Experience delivering cost‑conscious automation and AI‑assisted workflows.

Required skills

• Core Java and Spring framework.
• Python (including data‑processing libraries such as Polars).
• Advanced SQL.
• Angular or React for front‑end development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and data warehouses (Snowflake) is a plus.
• Knowledge of equities and equity derivatives in a real‑time trading environment.
