General Ledger Accountant

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant will manage daily accounting operations in compliance with Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRS) and company policies. This role ensures accurate bookkeeping, month‑end and year‑end closing, and supports cross‑border financial consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily bookkeeping, expense, revenue, and inter‑company transaction entries, and perform account reconciliations.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing activities, ensuring standardized accounting procedures.
• Reconcile domestic and overseas entities, resolve cross‑border account discrepancies, and maintain consistent regional financial data.
• Verify invoices, manage accounts receivable/payable ledgers, monitor outstanding payments, and assist in debt collection.
• Coordinate with external auditors, prepare tax data, and support tax declaration filings.
• Track monthly budget implementation, calculate revenue‑expenditure variances, and assist in annual budget preparation.
• Prepare basic financial statements and statistical data as required by supervisors and the group.

Required profile

• College degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management or related field; Junior Accountant title preferred.
• 3–5 years of practical financial accounting experience, familiar with full accounting cycle and general ledger functions.
• Experience with Hong Kong accounting standards and tax regulations is highly valued.
• Experience in online payment acquiring, merchant acquiring, or cross‑border corporate finance is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with common financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Ability to perform system bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and voucher processing independently.
