General Technician (Technical Maintenance)

About the role

We are looking for a General Technician to join the facilities team at Kowloon Shangri‑La in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the hotel’s water, electrical and mechanical systems to ensure smooth daily operations. This role involves both preventive maintenance and emergency repairs across guest rooms, restaurants, kitchens and other public areas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on water supply and electrical systems for guest rooms, restaurants, kitchens and other departments.
• Conduct regular checks and maintenance on hot water pumps, cold water pumps and seawater pumps.
• Assist in the operation, maintenance and repair of the hotel’s boilers, steam drainage and related mechanical systems.
• Handle emergency repairs of plumbing and drainage systems.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of hotel‑related maintenance experience.
• Valid Certificate of Registration of Electrical Workers (Grade A or Grade R) – advantageous.
• Experience with boiler operation and maintenance is a plus.
• Willingness to work in shifts and communicate effectively in spoken Cantonese.
