Head of Data Strategy

About the role

Coface is looking for a Head of Data Strategy to manage data-driven initiatives across the region. The role develops and implements data strategies that drive business value, ensures data governance and data quality, and works closely with senior leadership, data teams and business units to align data capabilities with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional data strategy aligned with business goals, and implement group data governance frameworks for high-quality, compliant and secure data.
• Define data policies, standards and best practices, and partner with IT and business teams to uphold governance and stewardship policies.
• Drive data profiling, quality assessment and cleansing activities, and oversee the adoption of emerging data trends and technologies.
• Ensure data infrastructure supports advanced analytics and business intelligence, and measure and optimise data strategies.
• Manage data sources, data integration and alternative data strategies, and design keying and linking architectures for entity resolution and data deduplication.
• Maintain data matching rules and record linkage strategies for multi-sourcing and product 360 initiatives, and develop metadata and data lineage.
• Work with IT and data engineering teams on scalable data architecture, integrate regional and global data platforms, and drive data automation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data strategy, analytics or related roles, with a focus on leadership.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing data strategies at regional or enterprise level.
• Strong understanding of data governance, compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• Nice to have: hands-on experience with data architecture, big data platforms and cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Required skills

• Nice to have: SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI and data management systems.
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills, and ability to turn data insights into business strategies.
