Head of Investments Legal – Asia Pacific

About the role

Invesco is seeking a Head of Investments Legal for the Asia Pacific region, based in Hong Kong and reporting to the Head of Legal, Asia Pacific. You will lead legal support for investment, trading and operational activities, with a strong focus on private‑markets fund matters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of lawyers providing legal advice across the full investment lifecycle.
• Act as a trusted adviser to private‑markets funds business, overseeing structuring, formation, launch and ongoing maintenance of real‑estate and alternative investment funds.
• Draft, review and negotiate private‑fund documentation such as private placement memoranda, limited partnership agreements, subscription agreements and side letters.
• Provide guidance on fund governance, operations, distribution, marketing and investor relations.
• Contribute to regional and global legal initiatives, including regulatory and investment‑management matters.

Required profile

• Seasoned investment‑management lawyer with deep private‑fund formation expertise and exposure to multiple asset classes.
• Strong commercial judgment, strategic thinking and the ability to solve complex, nuanced problems pragmatically.
• Credible thought partner for senior business leaders while maintaining sound risk judgment and professional independence.
• Proactive “getting to yes” mindset, capable of having difficult conversations and leading teams with clarity and resilience.

Required skills

• Private funds documentation (PPMs, LPAs, subscription agreements, side letters).
• Fund formation and structuring.
• Regulatory compliance in investment management.
