Head of Merchandizing, pandamart

About the role

Foodpanda, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for a Head of Merchandizing for its pandamart business in Hong Kong. The role drives commercial and expansion strategies across pandamart categories and initiatives, using market data and category insights to grow the business sustainably.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategy covering pricing, promotions, range, availability and cost prices to expand both sales and margin.
• Identify and close range and assortment gaps so customers have high-quality, good-value goods year-round.
• Build strong supplier relationships, negotiate better terms, secure supplier advertising spend and ensure a reliable flow of goods.
• Work cross-functionally with Regional, Supply Chain, Operations and Marketing teams on projects such as inventory levels, shrinkage and demand forecasting.
• Use data-driven decisions to keep categories well selected and competitively priced through local and international sourcing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification.
• Over 15 years of experience in merchandising, buying, category management, business management or consulting with a proven track record of results.
• FMCG, retail and e-commerce background highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, with excellent written and oral communication.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational skills and motivation to contribute to team performance.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
• Ability to learn new tools quickly.
