Head of Product Assurance

About the role

Silver Cross is seeking a senior leader to head product assurance across its engineering and compliance functions in China or Hong Kong. Reporting to the UK‑based Associate Director of Technical, you will ensure new and existing luxury baby products meet the brand’s high safety, quality and durability standards while collaborating closely with design, technical and after‑sales teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering and product compliance, providing technical direction from concept through mass production.
• Partner with UK design teams to translate product requirements into manufacturable solutions.
• Assess and improve manufacturing partners, establishing repeatable processes that meet quality, safety and performance standards.
• Act as primary contact for technical and compliance matters, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution.
• Oversee validation and approval of products, components and production samples, keeping development timelines on track.
• Investigate product issues, implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement to reduce after‑sales costs.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience in product engineering, compliance and regulatory affairs for consumer goods, preferably with UK/European brands manufacturing in China.
• Proven track record of implementing design verification, product and process validation, and continuous‑improvement programmes.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and data‑driven decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin, with the ability to build relationships across international teams and third‑party factories.
• Relevant degree or HND in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
