Housekeeping Coordinator

About the role

The Housekeeping Coordinator supports the Director of Housekeeping by handling administrative tasks, acting as a communication link between housekeeping and other departments, and ensuring prompt and accurate responses to internal and external enquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and log all incoming service request calls, forward them to the appropriate personnel, and notify the supervisor for immediate action.
• Gather VIP arrival, layover and day‑use room information from the Front Office and promptly relay it to the floor teams.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints courteously, directing them to the relevant department for swift resolution.
• Manage the issuance and collection of all room keys, reporting any missing or damaged keys to the supervisor.
• Maintain and update housekeeping records such as the key book, lost‑and‑found log, and maintenance files.
• Track loanable items and lost‑and‑found items, ensuring proper documentation and control.
• Prepare daily computer printouts, monitor special concerns, and communicate room status and special guest requests to the Front Office.
• Coordinate with external contractors for urgent matters (e.g., pest control, window cleaning) and process work orders to the Engineering Department.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience in housekeeping.
• Formal tertiary education or VTC qualification in housekeeping management.
• Proficient spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
• Familiar with hotel products, facilities and housekeeping operations.
• Cheerful, courteous telephone manner with strong interpersonal skills.
• Well‑organized, able to prioritize tasks and work independently.
