Legal Counsel – Financial Services

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join a leading financial services organisation. The role provides legal and regulatory advice to the asset management and wealth management divisions, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal and regulatory guidance on operational matters and strategic projects for asset and wealth management.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of legal agreements and documentation.
• Support the management of disputes, claims, and litigation matters.
• Coordinate with external legal advisers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with regulatory interactions, governance issues, and specialised client account matters.

Required profile

• Qualified in Hong Kong with a recognised law degree.
• Minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in financial services, particularly securities and regulatory matters.
• Strong understanding of applicable regulatory requirements and data‑privacy considerations.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese, with strong attention to detail.
