About the role

Reporting to the Head of Legal – Asia, the Legal Counsel will support LexisNexis’s Hong Kong and Taiwan operations, providing independent, commercially‑focused legal advice and ensuring the business’s interests are protected.

Key responsibilities

Deliver timely, accurate and practical legal advice on contractual, technology, intellectual property, content, regulatory and dispute matters.
Monitor legal and regulatory developments, identify risks and propose risk‑based solutions.
Conduct legal training and clinics for business teams.
Collaborate with legal colleagues across APAC, the US and Europe and manage relationships with external counsel.
Escalate material legal, regulatory, financial or reputational risks to the Head of Legal – Asia.

Required profile

Strong understanding of business policies, compliance obligations and risk appetite.
Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities and influence stakeholders.
Experience handling government tenders, procurement processes and fast‑moving commercial environments.
