About the role

Reporting to the Head of Legal – Asia, the Legal Counsel will support LexisNexis’s Hong Kong and Taiwan operations, providing independent, commercially‑focused legal advice and ensuring the business’s interests are protected.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver timely, accurate and practical legal advice on contractual, technology, intellectual property, content, regulatory and dispute matters.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments, identify risks and propose risk‑based solutions.
  • Conduct legal training and clinics for business teams.
  • Collaborate with legal colleagues across APAC, the US and Europe and manage relationships with external counsel.
  • Escalate material legal, regulatory, financial or reputational risks to the Head of Legal – Asia.

Required profile

  • Strong understanding of business policies, compliance obligations and risk appetite.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience handling government tenders, procurement processes and fast‑moving commercial environments.
