Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support for our business operations across multiple jurisdictions. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements while advising senior management on legal risks and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate distribution, procurement, marketing, licensing, and service agreements.
• Advise on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters in relevant jurisdictions.
• Support M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, including due diligence and documentation.
• Manage legal risks and provide strategic input to senior management on business initiatives.
• Coordinate with external counsel, regulators, and business partners as needed.
• Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory developments across all operating jurisdictions.
• Assist in developing internal policies, compliance programs, and training.
• Handle disputes, litigation, and enforcement matters in coordination with external counsel.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or equivalent; qualified to practice law in Hong Kong or another common law jurisdiction.
• 3 to 6 years of post‑qualification experience, preferably with an in‑house focus on corporate/commercial law.
• Experience across multiple jurisdictions, especially Southeast Asia and Mainland China, is a strong advantage.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) required.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
