Legal Counsel

About the role

We are a technology company seeking a qualified lawyer to join our in‑house legal team. The role involves providing commercial legal support across product development, IP licensing, marketing and other business initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including product development, intellectual property licensing and marketing contracts.
• Provide legal advice, regulatory guidance and risk assessments on operational and business‑related matters.
• Monitor and analyse legal and regulatory developments across relevant jurisdictions and assess their impact on the business.
• Develop, implement and maintain internal policies, procedures and compliance guidelines, driving continuous improvement.
• Conduct legal risk assessments and advise on changes to laws, regulations and industry standards.
• Deliver legal training and knowledge‑sharing sessions to internal stakeholders on key compliance topics.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to provide practical, commercially focused legal support.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD), Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent qualification from a reputable university.
• More than 2 years of post‑qualification legal experience.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; Cantonese proficiency highly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple work streams and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience working within multinational or cross‑border, multicultural organisations.
• Commercially minded with sound judgment and a proactive, solutions‑oriented approach.
