Legal Specialist – APAC (Hong Kong)

About the role

This position offers a junior lawyer the chance to transition into an in‑house environment within a fast‑paced, international organisation. Based in Hong Kong, you will support commercial and regulatory matters across Greater China and the broader APAC region.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including client, vendor, confidentiality and service contracts.
• Provide practical legal advice to business stakeholders in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
• Support legal and regulatory issues related to the company’s operations, including compliance, risk management, data privacy and corporate governance.
• Assist in dispute management and coordinate with external counsel when required.
• Develop and maintain internal legal templates, policies and training materials.
• Partner with regional stakeholders to deliver commercially focused legal support.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with 1‑2 years post‑qualification experience, preferably from a reputable law firm or multinational corporate setting.
• Strong commercial contracting and general corporate/commercial law experience.
• Excellent Mandarin and English language proficiency, with the ability to draft and negotiate documents in Mandarin.
• Commercially minded with strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Adaptable, proactive and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.
