Licensed Training Officer (Airframe / Avionics)

About the role

The Licensed Training Officer will develop and deliver airframe and avionics training programmes for HAECO’s maintenance teams. This role combines curriculum design, hands‑on instruction and continuous evaluation to ensure high training standards across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and compile training and assessment materials in various formats, including multimedia.
• Design course syllabi, training methodologies and assessment methods.
• Deliver theoretical and practical training in classroom settings, on‑site, or overseas.
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness to maintain high standards.
• Liaise with production departments and group companies to identify training needs.
• Collaborate with local educational institutions on course design and pre‑employment training.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and cooperation.
• Mentor trainees under various training schemes.

Required profile

• Holder of a HKCAD or EASA Maintenance Licence (B1.1 or B2) – preferred.
• Higher diploma or above in Engineering or Physics.
• Completion of at least one EASA Part 147 type training.
• Minimum three years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least one year of type‑specific experience.
• Knowledge of the EASA Part 147 system is an advantage.
• Prior training experience is a definite advantage.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to avoid unsafe practices during practical training.

Required skills

• HKCAD/EASA Maintenance Licence (B1.1 or B2).
• EASA Part 147 training certification.
• Proficiency in aircraft maintenance procedures.
• Competence with MS Office and multimedia authoring tools.
