Maintenance Engineer – Operations & Maintenance

About the role

Veolia Hong Kong Holding Limited is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to develop and oversee routine maintenance schedules for mobile plants, heavy equipment and trucks, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a schedule for routine maintenance of mobile plants, heavy equipment, trucks, etc.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment promptly.
• Create standard operating procedures for maintenance and repairs.
• Train staff on equipment use and potential hazards to ensure safety.
• Supervise the maintenance team, including mechanics, electricians and specialised contractors.
• Maintain records of equipment installations, malfunctions, maintenance and repairs.
• Estimate project costs and assist in developing the departmental budget.
• Stay current on machinery recalls, safety guidelines and evolving industry standards.

Required profile

• Higher Diploma or above in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services.
• Valid Mandatory Basic Safety Training Certificate (Construction Safety Green Card).
• Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience.
• Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards.
• Possession of a valid driving licence (Classes 1 and 2) is preferable.
• Fluent in spoken and written Cantonese and English.
