Corporate Director of Quality, Asia Pacific

About the role

We are seeking a Corporate Director of Quality to lead the Asia Pacific quality engineering strategy for a global technology manufacturer. The role will shape quality culture, drive governance across sites, and act as a senior partner to factory General Managers and strategic customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the quality roadmap for new technology development and NPI, collaborating with corporate and site engineering teams.
• Oversee customer escalations across the region, lead root‑cause corrective actions, and present findings to clients and executives.
• Maintain and improve ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, TL9000, and ISO 13485 compliant QMS at all sites.
• Influence factory General Managers, participate in strategic decision‑making, and align quality technology strategy with business objectives.
• Travel up to 80% across China sites and occasionally to Penang, Malaysia, to support on‑site initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of quality leadership experience, preferably within the PCB manufacturing industry and with exposure to defense/high‑reliability standards.
• Native‑level fluency in both Chinese and English; Cantonese or Malay is a plus.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, TL9000 and ISO 13485 standards.
• Strong technical background in PCB manufacturing processes, equipment, and supplier management.
• Proficiency in statistics, SPC, data analysis, and quality improvement methodologies (6S, 8D, Poka‑Yoke, Judoka, Andon, Zero Defect, DOE, PFMEA, TPM).
• Ability to lead cross‑functional projects, mentor teams, and drive continuous improvement.
