Manager, Interior Design

About the role

The Shangri‑La Group is seeking a Manager, Interior Design to lead the design planning, coordination and delivery for new hotels and asset‑enhancement projects. You will ensure that every design outcome aligns with the owner’s brief, brand standards and guest experience expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate communication among design consultants, project teams, hotel operators and other stakeholders.
• Guide projects from concept through schematic, detail design and construction, ensuring compliance with Company Design Standards.
• Conduct design audits, drive innovation and enforce quality‑assurance processes to protect design integrity.
• Monitor design schedules, consultant performance and supplier deliveries, documenting progress and corrective actions.
• Prepare interior design briefs, mood books and regular status reports.
• Perform site visits to verify that approved designs, standards and quality are achieved, recording any deviations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Design Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience handling luxury hotel projects, boutique F&B concepts or large‑scale mixed‑use developments.
• Proven track record with major consultancy firms or developers, preferably with projects in China or other international markets.
• Strong knowledge of current design trends, industry suppliers and innovative materials.
