Manager / Senior Consultant - Executive Compensation Consulting

About the role

Mercer is looking for a Manager or Senior Consultant to join its Career team in Hong Kong, supporting the executive compensation consulting business. The role is hybrid, with at least three days a week spent in the office, and offers exposure to other consulting areas.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in or lead small to mid-sized consulting projects tailored to client needs.
• Help develop client presentations and deliverables, and refine them with the team.
• Gather executive pay data, rewards practices and policies using Mercer's proprietary tools and public information, then give clients quantitative and qualitative analysis and insights.
• Use advanced data analysis, such as Excel modeling or other statistical tools, when needed.
• Support the team in building the client base: communicating with existing clients, prospecting new ones through events, calls and meetings, and following up leads.
• Carry out external research on industry trends, company news and the competitor landscape.
• Manage the team, providing coaching, peer review, solution brainstorming and project support.
• Partner with other divisions to advise on HR issues.

Required profile

• 4+ years of relevant experience in executive compensation, total rewards, management consulting, finance, human resources or accounting preferred.
• Fluency in English and Cantonese is a must; Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and changing client needs.

Required skills

• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and a solid background in Excel.
• Excellent project management, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, able to handle multiple projects at once.
