Manager / Senior Manager – Core Banking Solution Architect (Engineering)

About the role

Join Deloitte China as a Manager/Senior Manager leading core banking solution architecture for insurance clients in Hong Kong. You will advise on large‑scale technology initiatives, design custom solutions, and drive delivery excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic advisory on core system modernization and digital transformation of distribution and incentive compensation ecosystems.
• Lead complex delivery engagements, including custom application design, business process re‑engineering, and integration of Incentive Compensation Management solutions.
• Design and implement solution architectures for commission calculation engines, multi‑tier agent hierarchies, overrides and clawback logic.
• Ensure high‑accuracy financial and distribution data reconciliation and manage mission‑critical system cutovers.
• Drive business growth by identifying and closing strategic sales opportunities in the insurance‑tech space.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of technology consulting or IT project management experience, with at least 4 years as an architect on insurance core systems (Guidewire, SAP, Duck Creek).
• Deep knowledge of distribution compensation logic, commission hierarchies and integration with finance/GL modules.
• Experience with modern cloud platforms such as Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud and Tencent Cloud.
• Strong understanding of Hong Kong financial services regulations (HKIA, GN16) and IFRS 17 requirements.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin a plus.
