About the role

The Merchandise Assistant supports sourcing and buying activities for the Home Department across TJX’s international brands. This entry‑level position is ideal for candidates with up to two years of experience who are eager to develop a career in merchandising, vendor management and market research.

Key responsibilities

Assist the sourcing specialist and manager in executing buying plans for the assigned category.
Coordinate the administrative workflow from order placement through shipment.
Organise and support vendor site visits, trade‑fair attendance and other merchant trips.
Conduct market research and prepare follow‑up reports after each visit or exhibition.
Help identify and evaluate new vendors, manufacturers and factories to build long‑term relationships.

Required profile

Less than 2 years of relevant experience or recent graduate.
Strong drive for results and personal integrity.
Ability to influence informally and build networks across functions.
Eagerness to learn and grow within a global off‑price retailer.
