MFT Infrastructure Engineer/Lead (Investment Bank)

About the role

We are looking for a senior L3 Infrastructure Engineer/Lead to provide hands‑on technical leadership, production support and escalation coverage for a large international investment banking client. The role focuses on enterprise Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms and high‑volume data distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 production support for MFT, SFTP, FTPS, Connect:Direct and bulk data distribution platforms.
• Lead investigation and resolution of complex incidents, service disruptions, failed or delayed transfers, and client escalations.
• Administer Unix/Linux servers, web applications and related infrastructure components.
• Monitor production services, file flows, system health, capacity, performance and operational alerts.
• Support onboarding, configuration and lifecycle management of internal and external file‑transfer flows.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues across internal networks, external partners, secure perimeter services and DMZ environments.
• Manage production changes, releases, deployments, configuration updates and implementation activities.
• Ensure secure file‑transfer controls, including encryption, key and certificate management, virus scanning, data‑leakage prevention and auditability.
• Coordinate incident resolution across network, database, storage, security, OS and application teams.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in production operations, infrastructure support and enterprise Managed File Transfer or high‑volume data distribution platforms.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Managed File Transfer technologies and secure file‑transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, FTP, HTTPS‑based exchange).
• Solid Unix/Linux system administration background.
• Working knowledge of networking, databases, storage, information security and OS troubleshooting.
• Experience with incident, problem, change and release management processes.
