Movement Specialist – Workplace Health & Ergonomics

About the role

The Movement Specialist partners with clients to promote workplace health, wellbeing, and injury prevention by reducing musculoskeletal risk. Working with client stakeholders, vendors, and Optum resources, you will develop, implement, and manage ergonomic and movement‑focused programs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute ergonomic assessments, workplace modifications, and movement screenings.
• Develop annual calendars of health events, deliver movement classes, and promote participation through signage, email, and on‑site outreach.
• Collaborate with client medical leave teams to adjust work environments for short‑term or long‑term conditions.
• Provide reports on program utilization, outcomes, and success stories.
• Manage program budgets, invoicing, and financial duties accurately and timely.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Ergonomics, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field.
• Active licensure or certification in a related health discipline (e.g., PT, OT, Athletic Training) or ability to obtain ergonomic certification within six months.
• Proven experience delivering ergonomic assessments in corporate or manufacturing settings.
• Experience managing budgets, metrics, and reporting activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience using ergonomic assessment equipment and tools.
• Familiarity with web‑based platforms for program delivery and reporting.
