News Producer – Video (Multi-Platform)

About the role

We are looking for a multi‑platform News Producer to join CNN’s Asia‑Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong. The role focuses on real‑time investigative reporting, using open‑source intelligence to source and verify video content for digital‑first audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, gather, verify and clear distinctive video content for use across video‑first platforms.
• Apply OSINT techniques such as geolocation, satellite imagery and geospatial data analysis to uncover and confirm information.
• Produce and edit video packages for distribution on CNN’s digital channels.
• Shift between US and international news priorities as required.
• Coordinate with field teams and other CNN departments to ensure seamless coverage.
• Maintain legal compliance and adhere to CNN editorial standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in OSINT or digital forensic reporting.
• Extensive background working in a video‑first newsroom.
• Strong editorial judgement and ability to cultivate news sources.
• Passion for breaking news and investigative storytelling.
