People & Culture Officer – Payroll & HR Operations

About the role

Swire Hotels is a group of individual hotel brands that craft extraordinary hospitality. Our brands Upper House and EAST operate in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Chengdu, Beijing and Miami. The People & Culture Officer – Payroll & HR Operations will support the day‑to‑day delivery of payroll and HR operations across the group, ensuring a seamless experience for team members while maintaining compliance, data accuracy and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly payroll processing and statutory requirements, ensuring timely and accurate payroll administration in compliance with company policies and local regulations.
• Coordinate employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, employee data maintenance and HR documentation administration.
• Administer employee benefits programmes, including medical insurance, retirement schemes and leave administration, while responding to employee enquiries.
• Prepare payroll, headcount and HR reports, analyses and reconciliations to support business and management decision‑making.
• Partner with hotel teams and stakeholders to ensure employee records are accurate, up‑to‑date and maintained in the HRIS and payroll systems.
• Contribute to HR process improvements, system migration and enhancements, audits and people initiatives.
