Platform / Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

The successful candidate will join a team responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting the Equity Derivatives platform and its underlying infrastructure. You will work closely with developers, quants and production support teams to enhance reliability, automation and operational scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain internal platforms used by Equity Derivatives PMs, quants and technology teams.
• Develop automated tooling for deployment, configuration management and fail‑over procedures.
• Write, support, test and document code following CI/CD best practices, including unit testing.
• Profile application stacks to identify latency bottlenecks and drive performance improvements.
• Apply AI‑enabled techniques for data validation, anomaly detection and automation support.
• Provide Level 2 support, troubleshooting and performance tuning for production systems.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Financial Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills and ability to stay composed under pressure.
• Self‑starter, critical thinker who takes ownership of projects.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Python, Groovy or C++.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker and cloud platforms.
• Experience with messaging middleware such as Kafka and Solace.
• Solid background in Unix/Linux environments.
