Principal Consultant – Payments SME

About the role

Capco is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead payments transformation for leading financial institutions in Hong Kong and the wider APAC region. You will combine deep payments expertise with consulting and technology knowledge to shape the future of payments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic and transformation initiatives across retail banking payments, optimizing processes, operating models and technology capabilities.
• Facilitate workshops, conduct assessments and define business requirements, target‑state architecture and delivery roadmaps.
• Design end‑to‑end payment solutions for domestic and cross‑border ecosystems, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing market insights and recommendations.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in retail banking payments with strong technology and solution design experience.
• Proven experience delivering large‑scale payments transformation programmes in financial services.
• Excellent consulting, stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience working with leading financial institutions in Hong Kong and APAC.

Required skills

• Payments ecosystem knowledge (domestic and cross‑border).
• Solution architecture and design.
