Principal Business Analyst / Project Manager

About the role

Capco is seeking an experienced Principal Business Analyst / Project Manager to lead a major application replacement programme within Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) in Hong Kong. The role blends project leadership, detailed business and data analysis, and senior stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Own planning, execution, governance and change management of the CIB application replacement project, coordinating deliverables, risks and stakeholders.
• Lead and develop a team of Business Analysts, providing direction, coaching and quality oversight while remaining hands‑on with analysis.
• Investigate complex data structures, legacy applications and system behaviours, translating findings into business requirements and operational insights.
• Map business processes, assess application architecture and facilitate communication between business, technology and solution architects.
• Build trusted relationships with Heads of Department and senior stakeholders, communicating progress, risks and change impacts.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering complex technology transformation or application replacement projects, preferably in Corporate & Investment Banking or Capital Markets.
• Strong analytical and technical understanding of data analysis, legacy system investigation and software architecture.
• Proven leadership in managing Business Analysts and overseeing project planning, execution, governance and organisational change.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to interact with senior business and technology leaders.
• Fluent English with willingness to travel internationally as required.
