Quantity Surveying Manager

About the role

The Quantity Surveying Manager provides cost and commercial advisory support within the PDMC team, ensuring that design decisions and technical proposals are evaluated for their financial impact across a complex infrastructure programme.

Key responsibilities

• Assess cost implications of design changes, engineering proposals, and interface‑driven modifications.
• Support benchmarking and comparative evaluation of alternative design and constructability solutions.
• Identify cost‑sensitive areas and recommend optimisation, rationalisation, or standardisation.
• Collaborate with Package Managers, Design Manager and Commercial Manager to surface cost consequences of technical issues.
• Develop cost‑informed recommendations for the client on design changes, variations and integration impacts.
• Identify and assess cost risks related to design development, complex interfaces and construction methodology.
• Prepare cost inputs for project reporting, commercial reviews, risk registers and client briefings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cost advisory within large‑scale infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong analytical skills to benchmark alternatives and conduct value‑engineering studies.
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and communicate cost implications clearly.
• Experience in risk identification and mitigation related to design and construction interfaces.
