Regional Payroll Specialist

About the role

The Regional Payroll Specialist will own and coordinate payroll operations across the BJAK Group and its businesses, supporting employees in multiple countries and employment structures. This hands‑on position ensures accurate, on‑time payments, proper payroll inputs, and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly payroll cycles across several countries, entities and employment arrangements.
• Prepare and validate payroll inputs such as salaries, new hires, terminations, bonuses, allowances, deductions and unpaid leave.
• Review payroll calculations and reports before approval to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with local payroll vendors, EOR partners and internal teams to meet payroll schedules.
• Handle statutory payroll requirements, including taxes, social contributions and pension contributions across jurisdictions.
• Support employee onboarding and off‑boarding from a payroll perspective, including final pay calculations and documentation.
• Maintain accurate payroll documentation, audit trails and improve SOPs as the group expands.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on payroll experience, preferably supporting multiple countries.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive compensation data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple payroll calendars, deadlines and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills for payroll data handling and reconciliations.
