Research Analyst – China Industrials

About the role

Neuberger is hiring a Research Analyst for its Central Research Team. The analyst will research, evaluate and recommend investment ideas that meet the investment objectives of the Portfolio Manager teams. The role focuses on China industrials, with a requirement for in-depth experience in one of the key subsectors.

Key responsibilities

• Research and evaluate investment ideas and prepare recommendations for Portfolio Managers, in written or oral summaries
• Build and maintain earnings models and informational databases such as valuation and comparative analyses
• Use public filings, company literature and business publications to suggest differentiated investment ideas and insights
• Attend conferences, tours and company visits and give concise feedback to the team
• Travel for work

Required profile

• In-depth experience in one of the key China subsectors: industrials, machinery, robotics or materials; additional subsector or pan-Asia coverage is a plus
• 5+ years of relevant sector experience
• Experience in securities analysis (buy- or sell-side) is an advantage
• Fluent in English and Mandarin
• Strong analytical and written communication skills, motivated, hard-working and personable
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, well organised with high attention to detail
