Safety Officer / Safety Supervisor

About the role

Veolia Hong Kong Holding Limited, part of the Veolia Group, is looking for a Safety Officer / Safety Supervisor based in Tuen Mun. The role maintains the Occupational Safety and Health Management System in line with health and safety regulations, permits, contractual requirements and company policy, and coordinates inspections, audits and training across staff, visitors and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the Occupational Safety and Health Management System in accordance with applicable regulations, permits, contractual requirements and company policy.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties on health and safety compliance, inspections, investigations, job hazard analysis and audit programmes.
• Validate all health and safety data, check its quality and prepare the required reports.
• Organise and run health and safety compliance and awareness promotion activities and training programmes for staff, visitors and contractors.

Required profile

• Diploma or above, or a certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.
• Construction Safety (Green Card) training.
• Safety Supervisor certificate issued by OSHC or CIC.
• Lifting Safety Supervisor certificate issued by OSHC or CICA.
• 12 Silver Card issued by CIC.
• Minimum 3 years of post-registration experience in the factory or construction field; experience in ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 audits is preferred.
• Registered as a Safety Officer with the Labour Department; holders of a First Aid certificate are required.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, determination, motivation and excellent presentation skills.
• Candidates with less experience or without Safety Officer registration will be considered as Safety Supervisor.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office / Google applications.
• Driving licence (Class 1 and 2) preferred.
