Senior Consultant - Financial Services (Insurance, Asset Management, Operations)

About the role

Sia, a global management consulting group founded in 1999, is looking for a Senior Consultant to join its Insurance, Asset Management and Operations business unit in Hong Kong. You will provide strategic and operational advisory to clients, mainly insurance companies, asset management companies and financial institutions, while building the office's expertise and ensuring high-standard delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in projects with leading insurance companies, asset managers and financial institutions, typically in teams of 2-5 consultants.
• Contribute to the implementation and execution of clients' projects.
• Analyse data, formulate hypotheses and communicate with stakeholders to turn data into meaningful insights and solutions.
• Work closely with consultants from other offices to leverage the global network, take part in cross-selling initiatives and share consulting best practices.
• Support business development and content development with a hands-on approach.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics, Business, Engineering or Finance.
• 4-7 years of relevant work experience; those with less experience may be considered for a more junior position.
• Prior experience in insurance companies, asset management firms, operational roles in financial services or as a management consultant for these sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in operational improvement projects such as claims processing, policy administration, fund operations, investment operations and operational transformation.
• Fluency in English is a must; business proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is highly advantageous.

• High-level knowledge of the macroeconomy and regulatory environment in Asia.
• Strong project management experience and ability to manage complex projects.
• Ability to drive business decisions, accelerate project delivery and escalate risks and issues.
